Alan Hutton has been a player of Aston Villa since 2011 but has only managed to make 31 appearances for the Premier League club as he was offloaded to Nottingham Forest and Mallorca.
After his loan spell with Mallorca came to an end, the Spanish club attempted on signing Hutton on a permanent deal but could not afford it and now he has made his return to Aston Villa to where he still has not made a single appearance in this season and it does not seem like its going to change anytime soon.
The head coach of Aston Villa, Paul Lambert has told Alan Hutton that his career in the club is over because of his wages, which are simply just too high.
Alan Hutton was named into Scotland's team for their upcoming friendy match against Poland even though he has failed to play a game for his team in the entire season but this will likely be his only competitive match of the current campaign as his time with Aston Villa is appearing to be limited after the declarations that Lambert revealed.
Lambert said: "There's never been any fall-out; I just want to help him to get a loan move. It will be unlikely he will ever play here, he knows that. We need to get the wage structure down to a level. We have to look at the books and get it down a bit and Alan understands.
"Is it all to do with money? More or less, yes. Do we settle up with him? No, I'm not so sure, that comes down to the hierarchy. Alan trains away with the development squad; his fitness is not a problem. And his performances for the national team have been good.
